Three years ago today, on September 23, 2023, Jake Boykin was killed by a drunk driver while training in Tallahassee, Florida. He was 25 years old, a National Champion cyclist, and just getting started.

Jake wrote “Don’t skim your story” on his whiteboard in the spring of 2021, and he lived it — full gas, every day. We are still living it with him: telling his story, supporting the Jake Boykin Memorial Fund, and working so that no other family gets the call we got.

Thank you to everyone who has walked, ridden, donated, and shared Jake’s story with us over these three years. Take him with you. Don’t skim your story.
